Didn’t find what you’re looking for in our catalog? The librarian might be able to borrow it from another library using Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Interlibrary Loan is the process of sharing materials between libraries.
Interlibrary Loan is available to all BRPL cardholders with accounts in good standing with no outstanding fines. Temporary cardholders should ILL through their home library.
Keep these things in mind:
- Items published within six months of the request date may not be interlibrary loaned.
- The more information you can provide the better the search results — (title & author for books or title, author, name of publication, month, year, page numbers for journal and magazine articles).
- Interlibrary loans are not free, but the BRPL does not charge for this service. Consider donating the cost of shipping for your ILL (approximately $3) so that the library can keep this a no-charge service.
